So what is it about women that keeps them down?

Seems today that there is a lot of talk of a patriarchal society, a boys club, etc, that keeps women falsely "inferior" to men. I don't think women are inferior to men really, we both have faults that make us equally shitty members of the human race.

As a guy, however, I feel like I am too fucking nice. The few women who are overall good are outnumbered by the annoyance of having to put up with womens shit, who simultaneously apparantly have to put up with guys shit, or so they say.

So heres my thought. Women are often catty, cliquish, and when you hear them talk, they act as if all guys are horndogs who only wish to get sex, opress them in some way, and act sexist in ways that I guess guys have to tolerate in some way.

So that being said, heres my thought.

1. Women want sex as much as men.

2. A lot of women use sexuality for attention and like the old fashioned slave mentality of being supported by a breadwinner guy.

3. Say they want a smart guy, but really more often settle on someone good looking.

4. Prefer guys who are jerks, pretend it has something to do with confidence.

5. Wonder why a lot of guys push away single mothers, while dating what they feel are sluts.

6. Don't want guys who make money who make it the smart way and are intellectuals, want a sports star with money and are good looking, supporters with the power of the cock.


So really, this isnt a bash at women, I could write a lot here, but all the things so many of these misandrist women (that is misogyny towards men) bitch about are really just reverse of what they say they hate in men and make them no different than the worse parts of guys, supposedly.

Furthermore, I think a lot of good women are tempted to act badly because they see what works for the bad women. All the things women  say they want in men are what they push away as good men sit and wonder why they dont just do what works. Catch 22, it works both ways I guess.

I sit and wonder why I dont just act unlike myself and just do whatever it takes to get a woman in bed and/or have my fun, and forget what women say they want.

Its not that I think being overall good no matter who you are is a good thing, but as men, what benefit is there of being what women say they want versus just doing whatever it takes to fulfill your desire to physically be with a  woman you find attractive?

Women go for the most asshole guys, it's ridiculous.  Think of the most idiotic, selfish, dickhead you can imagine and I'm pretty sure that's at the top of most womens' wish list.  I don't get it

I don't think Ive met a women who felt "kept down" by anything. Then I suppose Ive never met a business women trying to get a promotion with a company run by men or other women who are prejudice.

If you want to get into a debate about women and equality that is fair but this thread really sounds like a rant about your personal issues; mostly that you've discovered that your not an "Alpha male" and that the women you run into are "bad" because they don't do what a "smart guy" like yourself would anticipate them to do?

Two major factors not mentioned:

1. Age

2. The company you keep, and the type of women you associate with.

Usually, as women get older they get more concerned with settling down (as do men).  At this point, a lot aren't looking for jerks, jocks, or super models.  They are looking for a good husband and provider.

Along with this, most of us know plenty of women who do not fit any of those stereotypes, in fact my, I don't find many in my day-to-day encounters.

maybe this fits here....

The exotic factor.  Ever notice how women often find the the "exotic" guy attractive (accent, distinct facial/body feature, etc).  Notice how guys have a similar attraction to the exotic as well.

Try visiting a country where you find the physical ethnic phenotypes attractive.  You'll probably find a plethora of women who you find extremely attractive who are swooning over YOU - the mysterious exotic guy that doesn't look like ever other guy they grew up with.

I think this may have a Darwinian connection to genetic variation... but I've also been drinking a bit tonight.

well... there's other places than japan, that's just where I live....

i am a straight male and all i really see is american girls so i HAVE to find some attractive or else i'd go insane. dig?





but i've met a variety of girls from other places and i'll say a good number of them i have found attractive :smirk:

recently i hear someone say:

i thought that was pretty powerful, and as far as i know its pretty true.  every building you see was built by men. (like 99% of the time).

Every post is too shallow to accurately argue in favor of either position.

Too many factors, too much history, too many unknown variables.
