College and Social Settings
    #9607801 - 01/14/09 12:38 PM (15 years, 3 months ago)

it seemed like last semester , i chilled with the same people everyday whether on campus or off , and never met any new girls besides the ones we would chill with.

well as second semester is upon me , it is the same way same thing everyday. smoke drink whatevers good . I really don't like to go to bars , but i'll go to the occassional club .

why am i saying this i might ask? well it has been a struggle to meet other girls because they are either with somebody or they are very "clique'" . i go to a small university 3,000 so this may be why. But at this point i don't exactly see myself meeting any other new girls maybe besides my classes.

How do you all put yourself out their , and meet new people outside of your social group ?

I walk up to them outside of class or whatever and just start chatting...  If there is some weird shit happening, i'll ask them whats going on and then go from there.

Literally....

^^

I agree with liquidkick. Sometimes you gotta put yourself out there, as you said, and walk up to someone in your class and ask them to do something.

Last semester I made a commitment to meet and date a girl in one of my classes....so I picked one that I liked, and asked her out to lunch a few times. Well now this semester I have her in 3 of my classes, and I am already on good terms with her, so at this point its pretty much a go.

Find girls in your classes to study with (assuming you understand the material and can actually explain it). Classes where you get assigned partners are great for this. Once you start talking about other things then school, slowly let her in on how you are not only book smart but also drink and smoke, etc. If you did a good job in setting up some initial attraction then the automatic, next step would be to start 'kicking it' together. Or whatever you have to get to know them first. Just be open

work somewhere where none of your friends work, bonus if its a place where a lot of people go to, like a local coffee shop or something.

Also like another poster said, take small classes. In the really small ones group work and study sessions are the norm. I got closest to my friends in one of my classes that had only 10 people in it.

Talk to all the random people you can.  Its fun because it intimidates them.

Also if you see mushrooms growing on the lawn you can pick them and then show them to random people.  Tell them interesting things about them.  They will either be really scared or think you are the coolest person ever.

The best way to meet wimmin is through friends, make lots of new friends of either sex.  Make an effort to chill with new ppls.

i can lay game , thats no problem . as long as i feel the vibe then evertyhing is good . but meeting new girls is the prob..

i almost feel as if people judge you on who/what/where you are in my college, lotta stuck up people here . is my college abnormal or is it just me ?

Ok well you could try this... buy a ski mask, a handgun, and some lubricant.

Then ask her if she wants to maybe go skiing, and then shoot off guns in the quarry, and then possibly have some lubricated sex later. :yesnod:

 I'd try that if it was someone that I knew I'd never see again.

Yeah that sounds more like a High School to me.

One good thing about college, for me at least, is that it doesnt involve nearly as much of that bullshit that goes along with High School.

But yeah, classes are really good places to meet girls.  I make a point to scope out all my classes the first week for "potentials" and then strategize.

Haha I got all the potential scoped out too .

I just make a point of sitting next to them in lecture theatres and starting bullshit conversations .

all my classes have some slack bitches in them... sooo dissapointing going to a commuter college and then not even getting some sexy bitches to work with.... my game is all thrown off now cuz i have to venture into other areas of the school and really wing it with no starting point, instead of walking up to them after class and asking them about stuff

Precisely. It doesn't. I think what you should do, and what has worked for me, just start talking to alllll sorts of random people. That way, when you get into scenarios with girls, it will all flow together so much more smoothly. :smile2::thumbup:

I've started to do this and it helps a LOT.

It's funny that you guys talk about that.
Here in France this kind of subject are a bit taboo. We never talk about popularity or social groups or whatever. It's, yeah, taboo somehow...

It's not a strong as it is in the US though I guess.
