sporeless gills?

is there anything you can do about sporeless fruits? they are very small and sporeless. although there is a very steady pinset so thats good i guess

Not real sure as to your problem.  Maybe not enough fresh air?  You should exchange your air 2-3 times per day.  Too much air exchange can dry out your cakes though.  So you need to find a happy medium.  Are you using cakes or casing?  Oh and this is in reply to your lighting Q,  30min. per day is enough to surfice however you can leave it on 24/7.  I wouldn't do the round the clock thing though.

thanks. they are cakes, i heard it was a genetic defect, not like they didnt have many spores and they dropped them early, i mean there are no spores. gills are white almost.

Sounds albinoish :laugh:  Maybe chemical related.  Did you use lysol or any other chemicals around the grow area.  I only use 91% iso. alcohol or H2O2 for this one reason.  Can you get completely stoked off of one?  If so it might not be that bad of a problem,  clone the hell out of em.  :laugh:  Anyway good luck to you in your future ventures!

Why do you want spores? If you want them to take spore prints 'n stuff why not just make clones instead?

if clones involve agar work, then i dont have the materials to do that. plus they are fruiting really small. i havent been able to get nice sized fruits off cakes in a plain old rubbermaid and perlite setup except for one time. and i cant get casings to work....so guess im running around in circles here.
