I have to make an altar

I took ceramics with a different prof this term, and apparently we're supposed to construct some kind of altar around mid-term.

Being mostly agnostic, and interested in wheel throwing skills, I'm at a bit of a loss for inspiration.

I was thinking of making a bird feeder or birdbath, maybe put a Buddha or two in there.
I like birdwatching and Japanese culture, so I think that would be a nice blend of the two. :yesnod:

Any thoughts, ideas, input?

read The Fountainhead and take inspiration from Howard Roark's Temple of Humanity.

Make the worshiper the focal point of the altar.

I like the pagan and druid type alters. Try looking at a few of those and see if one catches your fancy.

In all seriousness though if you're not especially religious you could make a really sick-ass altar to the Dark Lord Satan with sacrificed chicks and demons and shit all over it, that would rock. Put like the darkest fucking shit you can on it

power has been out off and on lately, so I'll do my best to look into some of these :smile:

And I need a book to read too, so I'll try to run out and pick up the fountainhead! I"m a slow reader though.

If I remember, I'll take pictures of it when I make it and post em.
