...and the corporate tyranny goes on and on...
So after abusing people trying to import or sell stevia for the aspartame racket they have come around. Now that people are rejecting synthetic sweeteners, coke wanted to sell a stevia sweetened drink, but wait its still illegal as a food additive. Well no longer, at the request of Cargill, Coca-Cola and Pepsi the FDA has given it the green light.
Despite the hypocrisy and criminality of the FDA, it is still a great victory for health freedom and truth. Slowly the FDA will crumble once the corruption is so obvious to everyone. The FDA and the pharmaceutical companies, really one entity, have stolen billions of dollars from the people while filling them with toxic "medicine", while repressing the natural cures all around us.
I wonder how long its going to take for Health Canada up north where I am to follow suit, not too long since I think since it's under much pressure from the same lobbies. Our government tried to ban 50-75% of all natural health products in Canada that didn't have clinical trials and all this ridiculous shit. I'm not exaggerating here they pretty much made doing anything with a herb with a "therapeutic use" illegal with their approval. And if they suspected you were using, buying, or what not with these herbs they could come to your house with out a warrant, arrest you and seize all your property and funds, with a maximum fine of 5 000 000, and 5 years in jail. The fine that is in place now, since this bill never made it is only 5000, they wanted to increase punishment for the natural health companies up to 1000x. They obviously wanted higher fines to be able to destroy anyone who was selling natural products without health Canada approval.
Once I realized that the regulatory agency for health in my country really didn't care if I was health but would rather I use pharmaceuticals at all costs I realized that something was terribly wrong. It along with some other stuff got me interesting in health more so, and now I have significantly improved my diet and continue to have great health.
Other people though, seem so caught up in the western medicine bullshit, they don't realize that your body has the ability to heal anything with the right foods. I guess people would rather believe a magic pill will make it all better than acknowledge that exercise and healthy eating are the answer.
I have been learning so much about the body systems in my classes, and 4 billion years of evolution has given us what we need to tackle just about anything, but it needs all the right ingredient, which isn't too hard if you try. I think people and society in general is so obliviously naive to think that the advances in the last 150 years in our western medicine have to tools to heal us better than nature it's self.
But this has brought us to an interesting cross roads here, where natural health and the corporations have met. The corporations have taken the ridiculous route so forth as to sell mostly junk foods, was it just unawareness? In any case we may be seeing the start of a turn around in overall mentality.
1/3 of the calories consumed by the average American comes from sugar in soft drinks. Replacing this with stevia could drastically reduce diabetes and other diseases in the US and around the world. Of course the Pharmaceutical companies will whine because they don't have enough people to peddle drugs for diabetes, but they are a dying breed anyways. Sometime in the future people will laugh at the silly people who thought they could better nature making medicine.
Lets hope this is the beginning of the end of the FDA tyranny on Natural Health Products, but I'm sure there is still a long hard battle yet to come.

-------------------- "A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe'; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty.
Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security."
