Fungcidal treatment of Grains for Fusarium Mold
    #944701 -

I just contacted my local co-op after having repeated failures with millet, apparently all silo grain, at least in ontario, is treated with Fungicide to prevent contamination from Fusarium mold. Im assuming they're using a broadrange funigicide to eradicate more than just fusarium, which could explain my lack of spore germination on the millet.

Any thoughts?

Yea, FUCK!

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

Try buying your grain from a natural shop and look for grain that is sold as "bio".  It should not contain any fungicides.  You'll have more success on those

i don't plan on spending that much money on grain. Is there any brand of birdseed in canada that is "all natural", or even any source for organic millet in southern Ontario? Does anyone know any details about Fusarium fungicial treatment? i.e which fungicide they use, whether it is polar or non-polar, etc.

If your post begins with "now i dont know that much" or "im no expert" then chances are that you don't, and that you aren't - END POINTLESS POSTING! (see above for example;) )
