When I woke up today I couldn't feel my arm

So I took a pretty large dose of opium tea and some xanax today.  At some point I passed out and when I woke up I literally couldn't feel my left arm at all.  And I could not move it either.  When I grabed it with my right hand it was like grabing a rubber doll or something.  It lasted for about 10 min.

has this happend to anyone else?

I gotta like flop around to turn off my alarm.

Sometimes when I take naps on my couch I'll fall asleep on top of an arm and wake up with it totally numb.

Sometimes I can't if it's real bad, but I can move it after a minute or two.

This has happened to me multiple times, alwyas fun when it does. :smile:

My take on your issue:

You took drugs that made you pass out.  You ended up passing out in an odd position, since you were too care-free to realize you were not actually comfortable.  Your limb fell asleep.  You woke up, and it had a delayed warm-up time due to your drug intake.

This happens to me pretty much every night; I invariably wake up in the morning with a lifeless arm that I have to then wait for a few minutes until the blood rushes back and it wakes up.

Wonder if this is doing me any permanent harm?

I've fallen asleep on my arm, waking up like 6 hours later completely unable to feel and move my arm. 100% like I'm paralyzed. In fact, I wanted to see how numb it was, I lifted up the arm with my other arm, held it up and let go. Needless to say, my arm fell because I couldn't feel it whatsoever, and it landed right on my face. It actually hurt, cuz I couldn't hold it back, its like punching yourself in the face, but not too hard.

Yeah I lifted it up with my other arm and it felt weird.  Sort of like an artificial doll or something.  Know what i mean?

your serious this has never happened to you till just now?

Anyways, its kind of funny when it happens to me, i like to carry it with my other arm since its all heavy and floppy.  It is freaky right at first, but cool when you notice you have just been sleeping on it.  The only part i really hate about it is when it is 'waking' back up, and you get the pins and needles feeling, but really intense, that shit sucks.

Yeah, oxygen deprivation can't be good for your arm.
