Battle Angel (2011)

What do you guys think of this movie coming out in 2011?  It's going to be a live action movie in 3D.  It's not an animated movie either.

It takes place in the 26th century about a tale of a cyborg (human brain / artifical body) rescued from the scrapheap by a cyber-surgeon who becomes her surrogate father.

eh i was never really one for the cartooney movies.

i did like a scanner darkly (but i hate keano reeves)





the last two images however, look really fucking cool.

it's not animated, those are just the images/concept drawings for the movie.  The movie is a live people version in 3D.

It is certainly an interesting idea.

One part in the synopsis I especially liked was this:

but the other one said she looks like a 14 year old girl? :confused:

i'm not sure i'd like to see a 14 y/o girl in the lime light of my action movie.

it has potential but i personally don't have much hope

She's a cyborg though.  And James Cameron is directing it.  He made Aliens, T2, The Abyss, etc.

i was also thinking of picking up some punisher comics after the first movie (2004)



i hope this one is good though it seems really cliche sci-fi

yeah it is kinda cliche sci-fi.  But how many cyborg/robot movies have been made that are really good?  I can only think of Blade Runner, AI, and T2.

I didn't even enjoy AI too much. I watched it, entertaining, but I wouldn't watch it again... like I would T2 (action never gets old) and Blade Runner, a timeless classic really.

yeah AI was more of a robot love story, but I still liked it a lot.

And Battle Angel is from the same director as T2 but with more of a similar story line to Blade Runner.  So it should be reeeaallllyyy good!

That is one thing I love in Sci-Fi, Sentient AI's.

I hope to write a story about one eventually.



I played that mass effect game for a little and there was a side-plot of an AI. hehe. i did it a few times cause i thought it was so cool
