he healed people, rose one from the dead (lazarus), made blind people see, cured leprosy for a few people, did lots of other magic tricks and then told everyone to love each other and brush their teeth. other than that, he didn't do anything really lasting. being nice to other people in your group is a fundamental part of a growing society and has been around for quite some time before jesus. but he also told us that we are horrible natural born sinners deserving to burn in hell for ever, but that by his grace (which he tried to exhibit while on earth) we will be granted the gift of life in heaven where we get to worship him nonstop just because we love him so much.
oh and he also claimed to be the son of god which was against the rules in that jewish society.
but none of this was actually written by jesus, it was all hearsay passed down. and then 30 years after his death some people decided that they might want to write it down.
it's almost as fucking ridiculous as reading tablets out of a hat

the books that come off the print press is just entertainment. Hell its not better than a newspaper i feel, every couple years they get a new "updated" version...
i always wonder how jesus finds the time to reincarnate himself every few years to update it
jesus did not write the bible.
in fact more than half of the bible was already around before jesus even supposedly lived. and then the second half started getting written by many different people starting over one generation after jesus is said to have died.
it would be quite something to have actual text that was written by the ultimate being himself, but i guess he was just too busy.
meh, new testament was created @ council of worms and other councils like it that decided what the actual christian belief was going to be
no the new testament was put together by a council. it was written by many people, all having been alive well after jesus' death though. a majority of it is simply letters from paul to different churches around the world.
this council decided which works were divinely inspired and other nonesense and reaffirms how bullshit the bible really is. it is a collection of stories written by PEOPLE that was collected by PEOPLE. These very same people that it relentlessly claims are incredibly fallible sinners.

Can I ask you why you don't believe in a God? Also you said that you attain spirituality with drugs, but don't believe in any God.. so whats the basis for your spirituality you seem to have attained?
Let me get this straight. Your suggesting that the basis of spirituality has to be a God?

"Jesus was way cool Everybody liked Jesus Everybody wanted to hang out with him Anything he wanted to do, he did He turned water into wine, And if he had wanted to, He could have turned wheat into marijuana, Sugar into cocaine, Or vitamin pills into amphetamines He walked on the water and swam on the land He would tell these stories and people would listen He was really cool If you were blind, or lame, You just went up to Jesus* And he would put his hands on you and you would be healed That's so cool
He could have played guitar better than Hendrix He could have told the future He could have baked the most delicious cake in the world He could have scored more goals than Wayne Gretsky He could have danced better than Barishnikof Jesus could have been funnier than any comedian you can think of
Jesus told people to eat his body and drink his blood That's so cool Jesus was so cool But then some people got jealous of how cool he was, So they killed him But then he rose from the dead! He rose from the dead, Danced around and went up to heaven I mean, that's so cool Jesus was way cool No wonder there are so many Christians" - King Missile

For the record, there is a difference between faith and blind faith, to which you are referring. These are aspects of faith most take for granted, but can often be overlooked when one is trying to determine a source of unrest inside. (Or, in other words, these less-acknowledged aspects of faith are highly relevant to spirituality and should not be discounted.)
Faith in your own subconscious actions, for instance... or faith in the laws of physics.
Just some thoughts. Faith gets a bad rap from those who apply the concept mixed with ignorance and denial.

i have become confused by people who claim atheism.
whether it be god religion in posters case shrooms, spirituality (whatever the fuck that is) is in all of our lives.
what im trying to say is that people who do not believe in anything are lost. no mater what your faith is about, god, jesus, happiness, the thought process of the mind, love,...etc. without faith in something a person ,in my opinion, is empty, and hopeless.
you shouldn't be pissed about christians, but rather the fact that he tried to impose upon you.

there is no proof on this material plane to support the existence of god, just as there is no proof to deny the existence of god. an agnostic would be perfectly faithless. being an atheist, you say in complete certainty, that there is no god. how can you say that, without having faith that there isnt a god?
