IMO in that case it should be: the Emperor vs. Morgoth Vader vs. Sauron

Tintree has it right.
Sauron would straight up wreck vader. He's a damned Archdemon. None of that "human emotion" shit.
PURE EVIL.
Even vader was a little boy....sauron was not.

Who cares about choking? He's a fucking evil spirit who has godly powers. He probably doesn't even breath. Sauron rapes, hands down. Next question.

They weren't across the universe ^_^.
At any rate, suffocation, really more continuation of the telekenis side of the very limited force "powers" is in the ubernerd world of fantasy / adventure a fairly low level spell. Plus, Sauron is arguably a demi-god, and is high up in rank under the evil side of things in Tolkien's stories...
And now... The (not so) epic battle, brought to you in uber-nerdy roguelikeness. Code:
@ a human or elf (human dark jedi called Darth Vader) & a major demon (Sauron) Darth Vader wields a blessed +4 light saber Sauron points all around. -------- |......| |.@..&.-## |<.....| -------- Darth Vader casts choke monster... But Sauron doesn't breathe! Sauron zaps Darth Vader with a lightning bolt... But Darth Vader is shock resistent! Sauron is not deterred... A wide-angle disintegration beam hits Darth Vader! | a grave -------- |......| |.|..&.-## |<.....| --------

Sauron was killing like 40 people at once with the wave of a hand.
Vader can make someone slowly choke to death.
Hmm tough choice.

hehe, this thread rocks. Sauron really would kick his ass though, vader has the force and all, but when you're a firey eye two stories tall the odds begin to go in your favor.

TinTree, but in your case you seem to have the full power of Sauron (his armies and followers) but not the full power of Vader. Sauron may be a fallen angel, but Vader doesn't even have to land on the planet to destroy it. He could just take a death star and blow up everything, the volcano, Ring of Power, all of Sauron's men, everything. With all of their might against each other, I think Vader would win, simply because his technology would obliterate the entire Middle Earth, literally. Not destruction like if Sauron won, destruction like everything including the planet itself becoming rocks and dust.
One on one though, I do think Sauron would waste Vader.

ok heres the fight
a naked (but life supported machine thign) darth vader Vs (lotr 1) Sauron (when hes killing like 30 at a time) who is naked as well.
man i swear i dont care vader could use the force and straight rip off the guys hand and ring then use the force to throw it into mount doom. end of sauron
and vader could kick sauromons ass too. old wizard pussy.

I love Roland, but I don't think so. All he's got is his trusty six-shooters.
Don't get me wrong, Roland is my favorite hero EVER, but he wouldn't stand a chance in hell against these two.

Roland's trusty six shooters were made out of Excaliber. He would out how to destroy vader or sauron in order to make it to the Dark Tower. Remember, all things serve the beam.

Ehh...
I thought we were talking just like a rumble match, no situational instances. If Vader can't have the deathstar, Roland can't have ka or the beams.
Forgive me, I'm just bitter about the ending of the last book.

I loved the ending. I'm now listening to all the books on CD. Just finished Song of Susannah.
Anyhow, OK, without KA, etc., Roland would likely be screwed, even though he's one crafty badass mofo.

Damn straight.
Mostly I was jsut disappinted that he didn't end up even having a battle with the Crimson King.
Thats the only thing that bothered me about the series, they had all these awesome badguys, and they were all gotten rid of so anti-climatically.

I love everything I've read from him, but I just had a few complaints in the Dark Tower series.
