Is this monotub 100% colonized and ready for 12 hour light cycles (PICS included)
    #9311430 -

Here are various pictures of monotub taken today. I've seen no new growth in about a two days. You can check some of my older profile pics and see that the new growth has been very minimal in the last few days. There still is some uncolonized coco coir. This tub looks to be colonized somewhere in the high 90% range. Is it now about time that I give this sucker 12 hour light cycles? What else should I do to provide a good environment to for fruiting? (thats pending if I should even fruit now). Bellow are the pics I just took today a few mins ago. Your advice is greatly appreciated!

I'd give it another 3-5 days.  I know, I know.  Hard to wait.

No casing due to some problems with timing. I don't have enough alone time to get it done this round.  My next monotub will have casing but not this run. So are all signs a go then? Should I mist because this straight coco coir, how much light should I give them too? Should I fan? I'm just wondering because everything should be self-sufficient in theory I'm just wanted so extra advise then.

If you say I shall. I did that with my last jars they looked a 100% but I gave them a little extra time just to make sure.  They're still in total darkness now. Only took off the blanket that was on them. I also wafted the box a bit for fresh air. If I did happen to give them light would they stop colonizing?

On a side note in real life these suckers are a LOT whiter in real life. My camera makes some of the darker areas look like exposed coco coir when in reality it's a shadow/crappy lens exposure thats making it look black. However you can clearly see by the pics that some side edges aren't fully colonized.

Naw, a little light won't initiate the Fruiting Phase.  It's when they start getting their FAE cycles that things start changing.

Shroomy 1 should I fan my monotub 3 times a day when fruiting should begin or will just removing the blanket be enough of a means of FAE?  I don't want to dry out the straight coco coir bulk. Also is it okay to mist? I've heard mixed things about misting. Essentially how do I start giving this tub FAE?

It just seems strange that some people just remove the blanket and give there monotubs light and mushrooms grow. It just doesn't see so easy.

A monotub is usually a set it and forget it deal. But i see no harm in misting then fanning out like a regular terrarium.

Some people do mist and fan out there monotubs to get the most out of them.

If you're not casing then you'll definitely want to keep a very close eye on the humidity levels in the tub.  Hope you have some type of hygrometer.  If not, just mist lightly.

Yeah I'll just mist it. Humidity really isn't a concern of mine. I've only opened the tub once and the humidity in it hit me in the face like a brick (I was 3 feet away too). It was real strong. It even looks real balmy in there.  I'm going to buy a small fan and put it in my closet to start giving it FAE  in a day or so.  Also good advice on Shroomy 1's part the tub is way whiter than it was yesterday so I can only imagine how it's going to look tomorrow. This is surprising since there hasn't been growth in a week. It seems that the last 5% of colonization always takes the longest for some reason.

I guess there was just a lot of humidity and gases in the tub. Reflecting back on it I wish I never cracked it open knowing what was going on.
