I'm so happy! :awesome:

This is my FIRST FIND EVER of this elusive mushroom! Sorry, no habitat pics - I was too excited! But i can tell you there were woodchips within 20ft.

Thank you Shroomery for all your great information, pictures and advice!

Now, anyone know where there is some good psytrance being spun tonight? I gotta get out and shake these old bones! :dancing:

-EDIT-
I'm so happy, I wrote a poem for you all;

Cyan's Essence
--------------
I'd been searching for you for so long
Who knew you'd be right there beside me
Walking with my head down for days
I wanted your voodoo inside me

You change the way I think about life
You light a simple truth
Redemption of the fallen,
Using tricks of wasted youth.

Now I see your here with me
The excitment is overwhelming
What am I to do with your flesh?
When shall I start consuming?

I'll miss you when you're gone,
So, I'll have to have you in ration,
But for now, lets dance and revel
And release some inner passion.

Went on a hunt today for some new patches. Found three small fruitings and hit some of my other patches. We are in some SERIOUS need of rain before December rolls around.

Also, while taking a walk down the street I noticed something funny on an apartment complex sign.

At first I thought it was fake, but upon closer inspection, it proves to be a mushroom! I haven't been able to properly ID it but I was thinking either a Hypholoma or Pholiota.

And an Amanita Pantheris I found,

second to last species is interesting, it could even be a gymnopilus species.

I hate going off subject, but Gymnopilus luteofolius maybe?

EDIT: Nevermind the off subject part, I'm starting to think those may be Gym luteofolius, which in fact contain small amount of psilocybin

I think it's an excellent contender for Gymnopilus luteofolius. wait for a TI to confirm though.

you may want to start an ID request thread. Many TI's ignore these ongoing threads.

look like gym luteofolius on the sign and possibly Amanita pantherina in the bottom pic, make sure to get pics of the base of the stipe on the amanita if you wanna ID it properly

oh yeah the gym print should be rusty brown/orangebrown/reddish brown

Ah my bad, I said Pantheris. I meant Pantherina. Been a while since I've seen em but I knew what they were as soon as I spotted them. Thanks for the assurance on the gyms too. I really dont want to harvest them, they are growing in such a cool spot!

plus I'm sure there will be more. If I were you I would take spore prints and rub spores on favorably located hardwood.

oh man, I can't wait till I get a day off.  I found an incredible area to look for cyans. It's in a green area thats been in the process of restoration for a year or so.  Acres and acres of alder (or another hardwood) mulch!!

I'm going to sneak up on them mushies by going there to look at the restoration, they'll never suspect I'm there for them!

Its getting pretty late in the season already,
I hope you guys are making Cardboard Spawns!
This is a quick and easy way to start a patch and ensure more fruits next year.
Mine are almost done innoculating after about 2 weeks, time to spawn!

Found a few more.

Didn't find too many, how many more weeks should i be expecting them to keep popping up? 2? 3?..... 1?
There are tons of pins there still. Alot were not too much bigger than a week ago, i guess it's not raining quite enough. Someone needs to do a massive rain dance right about now.
