my friends and i started some shrums using 1/2 pint jars w/ the wide openings, sterilized everything in a pressure cooker for about an hour and allowed to cool for till the following day. After that we sterilized my bathroom w/ lysol and a bleach water mixture in a spray bottle and sprayed down my bathroom counter,floor,mirrior,sink,etc. we are using a small rubber-made right now for the incubation period and that is steril.

so my question is...
when should we open up the rubber-made to see if it is cotaminated? cause there is that possibility that it could get infected

Check in 3 days for mycelium growth and contams. Than check every other day till 100% if your not worried about contams that much than check every 4th day.

Just my 2 cants

Im seeing signs of little growth...little white specs coming out the sides of the cakes..... looking good so far....

The less you mess with them the less likely you will get a contam and if you fallowed the TEK you should be fine.
