Newbie Questions *grins*
    #571806 - 03/06/02 06:36 PM (22 years, 1 month ago)

Hey guys-

I have a few questions that I've come up with while I've been reading various teks (I'm going to do the PF Tek btw)

1. How many jars should I innoculate with 1 syringe?
2. Which strain should I do first? Currently, I have Matias Romero and Treasure Coast. I should have some Cambodian and Equadors coming soon, but I'm not sure if they will arrive by the time I start (which will be this Friday afternoon)
3. I'm going to be using jars w/ metal lids with the rubber seal... After I poke the hole, and innoculate, should I use tin foil or tape to cover the holes?

Thats all I can think of right now... Thanks for the advice in advance :P

1. 9-10 jars with one syringe ..

2. Treasure coast is a good idea .. ( fast colonizer)

3. Tape--- you also may want to place foil over the tape before you steralize , helps to not saturate the tape ,, not a bad idea anyway ..

Have fun ,,goodluck ..

This statment or question is fictional and for fun not to be used in real life. Just a hypothetical situation..

Readup and deduce your own choice on tape or foil.  Some ppl say tape creates a negative back force and sucks in all contaminents when lifted????  But who am i to say im a newbie as well and ive seen nuttin but contams :frown:  Also what kinda tape do you guys use?  Surgical tape like the 3m stuff u find at cvs?
