I rehydrated my mycobag w leftover sporesyringe and its pinning!

So i was pretty stupid and used my xbox as a heater for my mycobag during colonization.it started to crumble apart and split as I began to try to initiate pinning.

so i took the remaining 6cc of spore solution I had leftover and spread it over the mycellium. Anyway, long story short, that was last Sunday and yesterday I noticed the first pins. Today I now have 6 (up from 1 yesterday)! Im so happy.

Now i still have a split mycellium and it did almost die so im guessing my yield will be very low. I know its tough to say but lets say i get half of what i should on the first flush. Is this enough to trip for one person? i read that u need like at least 1.5 grams dry but Ive never grown before. I do remem ber that the two times Ive tripped I ate alot of mushies (probly like 7-10 dry). Does it take that many?


Also, there is an issue which still concerns me. there are little pieces of uncolonized substrate stuck to the inside walls of the mycobag all over. Im afraid when I open to pick the first flush bacteria/mold spores in the air will get in and contam my mycellium. Is this a legit concern? If so, what can i do to minimize chances of contaming

I'm giving you a bump, cuz I also wanna know if those little pieces of sub can get contam'd when you open the bag.. sounds like a valid concern.

The spores will have had nothing to do with the pins appearing, that is for sure, but maybe the extra water helped.

It takes as much weight as it takes to trip, it depends on the size of the fruits wether it is 3 or 20 that you need to get the 1.5gr dry. If you harvest 20gr wet you will have enough to trip as they dry to around 10% of their original weight (so 20 gr gives you about 2gr dry.)
