pinning?
    #1342824 - 02/28/03 12:52 PM (13 years, 9 months ago)

my friend has a bulk substrate that does not have a casing layer on it, and is fully colonized and pinning was initiated eight days ago. There is still no sign of pinning, and he wants to know if the lack of a casing layer can prevent pinning or slow down the pinning process. All conditions are perfect and: temp. is 72, rh is 95. and light is readily available. what should I expect or do different?

hey dude, i wouldnt worry about it yet. sources tell me that it can take UP to 2-3 weeks for pins to show up. my bitch had a mycobag cake that she birthed and did NOT case at all. it took exactly 10 days for pins to appear. i hear that that was quite quick considering it was a mycobag cake with no casing and a slow strain (tc). so, hang in there for a while. if every variable is taken care of, you will wake up one morning and see tiny mushrooms... that's what happened to my bitch, and she was really fucking excited! hope that relieves your concerns a bit...
peace

Give it a good spraying with cold, cold water and give it some natural sunlight.
