A free mycobag arrived... what is your suggestion?

Well, my order from mycomania.com apart from what i have ordered, it had a dung mycobag as a gift :smile: cool. i have never ever worked with pre-made stuff of any kind, always my attempts was from scratch.

i am thinking to innoculate it and then case it.
whats your opinion? if agreed, should i case the myc as normal, in what casing material?

I bought one and while it was colonizing learned the superior methods of growing.
When it was fully colonized I cut the bag and cased with great success.
I personally think you should case it, or use to spawn.

yeap. i think i will case, i have seen pics of mycobags fruited and there are so many shit looking shrooms due to the bag. i dont like that. and why have only one flush, when you can have at least 2 ??

okee :smile: now i got another question on the subject.

should i innoculate them with one of the species i got spores at the moment ( GT - EQ - PF-classic - Thai Lipa Yai )  or should i order a different one from FSRE?

i remind you this is a DUNG mycobag i have

EQ on dung ROCKS!!! :cool:

When you do inoc. make sure you try and squirt a little to the back side for even colonization and break & mix after 2 weeks.........You know the drill............ :grin:

I'd say spawn it with some EQ. I got a couple great flushes from a recent EQ casing. Just an opinion though. Either that or try the Lipa Yai. I haven't worked with that strain yet :laugh:

okee...

the DUNG mycobag weighs about 500 grams (18 oz). is there a rough estimation about how much in fresh grams would this produce from first flush, cased?

It`s really difficult to say kykeon.
Condtions as you know play a very important part.
Be patient with colonisation and apply a good even casing layer.
You should get a good flush.

okee. this is a dung mycobag. should a verm/coco coir casing layer be sufficient?

also, this thing now is soft, i mean it is possible to mix it up. okee. when the mycelium will be full grown, will it be like the cakes, hard so that i have to cut it in smaller pieces?
