My upload is nowhere close to being able to get invites yet, that's why free leech is so important to peons like myself.

In my experience, this is the hardest site to get a decent ratio on.

I don't have a what account, but a buddy of mine does and still chooses to use waffles.  I'm sure it's more of an opinion thing than anything else.  They're both pretty badass from what I hear.

Lol I just got an invite to What.cd and I'm having a fuck of a time trying to maintain any ratio at all haha. I am going to have to start uploading random albums.

Yeah, it's tough, but you have 5 gigs before you get in any trouble, and even then the limits are low. Just download all the staff picks or any other freeleech, and hold out until they do a massive freeleech (which might be a while since they had one not too long ago.)

Of course uploading albums works as well.

I've been living off of my ratio explosion from What.cds freeleech right after its opening. Got Logic Studio 8 (40 gigs!) And uploaded nonstop :grin:

Do you know a lot about digital media? Like CBR VBR bit rates and FLAC files lossless, lossy encoding etc? Transcoding? They have an mIRC interview you can do, they tell you what to read up on if you dont know. That's how I got my invite lol, hard earned.

Finding Torrent sites that push lossless files are hard to come by. But I believe 320 or lossless is the way to go, and so i always like to rip flac and upload to a tracker site. I really do not like getting 128 mp3s, but thats just me haha :cool:

I personally try to grab all the V0 rips that I can.  That's my standard anyway. 

320 is nice, but too damn big for my tastes.  I would just grab the FLAC if I was disappointed with the V0.

Haven't gotten onto waffles yet, but patience is the key when building up your what ratio.  Just go on vacation for a week and leave your shit uploading.  Oh, and upload shit ... which is easier said than done as they have a huge collection.  If you want to just snatch the new shit and get a good seeding ratio, then ST is good for that.  I have a bunch of invites (ST) if anyone wants one.  And I would LOVE to get my hands on waffles, if anyone has one.  I can get a What if that would help ...
