its not a torrent site but i love archive.org Thousands of shows with a ton of them being in lossless format (ogg, flac, etc) and the rest in cd quality format or mp3's. Its an http xfer so the gig large files can take up to 8 hrs to pull down, but the selection is unbelivable and i havent had a download abort on me yet. I love BT stuff but archive is the best for downloading live sets.

Live Music Archive has http:// and FTP transfers, as well as P2P. I've never tried the P2P though.

With most of the trackers you have to type "Lossless" or "flac" or whatever to get those type of files..... You can't just type grateful dead - BUT grateful dead + Lossless Or something to that extent..
Demonoid has everything - Anything you could get torrent-wise it has it..

You might also want to check out Direct Connect. There are a few hubs out there devoted particularly to lossless music. Like this one, for example.

An old thread but pertinent nonetheless.

i guess i just dont have an ear for detail? ive always downloaded the lowest file size for same amount of music files. for example....if im downloading a certain bands mp3 discography from pirate bay for said band......i try to find the lowest byte amount so as to pack in as much music on my ipod as possible. ive never noticed any decrease in notable quality decrease. is there something wrong with me? it all sounds the same to me. ive never understood all that stuff.
