I get this impression everywhere I go about what.cd, which seems weird since my account at oink was fairly easy to maintain and what.cd seems about equivalent. I'm not some file transfer guru, either. Oink was great, though; I could find the most obscure music possible on it.

What is the connection with what.cd and waffles?

I've found that maintaining a decent ratio on what.cd is relatively easy, especially considering their semi-frequent staff pick freeleeches. What is difficult is getting invites though, I've been a member almost a year now and still don't have any. Uploading original torrents there is a bitch :tongue2:

i never understood why people think its so tough to maintain a ratio there. i dont think its that tough. they only require (at most) a 0.60 ratio. thats nothing.

I think its hard to get a high ratio because unless you are one of the first people to download a torrent you will never upload much on it.

Demonoid torrents upload consistently for me, that's why I have such a great ratio there. But on What.cd many just sit on idle and upload maybe 20mb every other hour. It's quite difficult for me.
