i dont think its a 12 track thing but a time limit thing. when i made your playlist it came out to 99 minutes and thats not gonna fit onto a cd.

i bet if all the silence in the songs were edited out, it would work.

its almost 16 minutes long. if you cut it out it would help a lot. im not ragging on the song, its hilarious, but i can rarely sit through the whole thing.

ah gotcha, wasn't sure what you meant. yeah, i am editing out some of the silence in some of them (Disgustipated, Triad, etc).

close to 80 min now.

can anyone else think of a different theme for a track listing? (rather than showing stylistic evolution through the albums)

Some TOOL themes to make mix cds:

Psychadlics/Drugs
Spiritual Ascencion / Conciousness evolution
chill out songs (ie. the slower moody tracks)

Yes, it is, obviously.  But the almost predictive title of their 2019 album strikes me as a beyond strange, synchronous inflection into the years that followed.  Almost like a book finding you at the right time. They are one of the only bands I’ve enjoyed who haven’t put an artistic foot wrong.  They’ve soundtracked some of the most moving trips for me; sonics creating CEV, filling in all empty spaces, throwing me down realms whilst leaving space for deep introspection.
Hopefully we don’t have to wait another five years for more astonishing music.  But they’re a difficult band.  Fanatical and precise to the point of being painful for their frontman.

Long may tool hold a deep seated place in the mind of the psychedelic journeyman, or woman.
