The site I got this from isn't credible, so I won't bother linking it, but I suspect the reason for the donation was something akin to this.  I'd tone down the hate a little bit in the wording, since the man did fess up.

How has he never had a paying job again? Isn't he in the senate? Did they stop paying?


The current salary (2008) for rank-and-file members of the House and Senate is $169,300 per year.  That is not the kind of income that can support $1,500 suits.  $500 suits, sure, $1,500, I don't think so.  Who's buying Barry's duds?  I sure hope it isn't me.

As to paying job, well let's see, Harvard law grad from 20 years ago and that's what he makes?  What a loser.  Chump change.  Plumbers I know make more.  But they don't spend it on suits.

Depends what you mean by paying.  What about shirts?  What about shoes?  10% of your gross income on clothes?  What universe do you live in?  What percent is acceptable on Greek columns?

They look more like columns they have at the capitol building to me. :lol:

When I sold cars prolly more than 10% of my monthly income went to clothes. Now prolly less than 5% of my income goes toward clothes, since I no longer have to be in the public eye selling $60k vehicles everyday.
