Oh shit man I know I'm more then 10 days late for this thread but I just had to chime in for my man otto.

Off to backpack India the "backwards cesspool" :rolleyes:

Which I am sure many parts are.
i.e open sewers, communal bathing in filthy water, people eating things that many of us wouldn't even consider. Would be like going back in time, which is why I guess your doing some humanitarian work also.

And not all of India is going to be that fucked up. there will be "some" OK places for the tourists...... probably just the Taj Mahal actually :igor:

And hay they have The Indian Space Research Organisation, launching probes to the moon and shit (seeing if the yanks were really there) its not so third world after all, well sort of :shrug:

Wish I had the time, the money, and the ballz to fuck off and backpack the world for a year.
I hope you have lots of fun and make many new friends, should be quite the adventure.

Well its actually the tourist hotspots that are the sesspools - the Taj Mahal etc. is where most of the pick-pocketing and shit goes down.

Me too, that's exactly what I have heard from everyone I have spoken to who chooses to form an opinion about somewhere they have never even been to visit...

Fortunately, everyone who I have spoken to that has actually been has said that although it can be testing at times, it was the most incredible experience of their lives.

There's some cool places in the north and we are arriving during harvest season - Juicy big buds growing wild on the sides of the road... :thumbup:

Undernose - everyone has the time to do what they want man, you just have to make the decision to do it! The hardest thing is booking the ticket, but trust me - everything else falls into place from there (because you have no choice at that point!).
