Never mind. I take back my previous statement. I cannot take down the Ronald Reagan avatar...and I was just joshing around. Ronald Reagan is by far my favorite former president. Bush is better than most, but he just does not compare to Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan has too big of shoes to fill.

He defeated communism. He kept our streets safer by escalating the War on Drugs. He spoke out against social medicine. I like his laissez-faire economics. He was a good Christian man. Just because somebody has a different opinion than you isnt reason to accuse them of stupidity about history. 

Why not voice an opinion?  Mine... Jefferson is the bomb, and those statements in post one all ring true.

How do you defeat a concept?

You're for the war on drugs?

Can you explain what's wrong with social medicine? (Maybe I don't understand the concept.)

Lots of people are "good Christian men." Many of them kill people in the name of their beliefs.

How does "good at acting" make someone a good president? Oh wait, I get it... makes perfect sense when you consider what politics really is.

I'll agree with you on the gun control bit.

Politicians are the actors of the East Coast. They have Hollywood, we have Washington DC.

The War on Drugs keeps the streets safer by keeping marijuana addicts and hippies off of the streets.

Social medicine is totally communist that is what is wrong with it.

You are wrong about Christians. Christians have killed before but they only kill bad people, not good people.

Yes sir.

HBO ran a pretty good mini-series a while back on John Adams, which did a pretty good job of illustrating the personalities of the various founding fathers. Pretty fun to watch; although I obviously can't be certain of it's accuracy.

Tom Hanks directed it, though, and from what I heard he was a stickler for getting it as historically accurate as possible.
