Unfolding Nature Shop: Unfolding Nature: Being in the Implicate Order

Glasses of Perception
    #9073870 -

As I walked from my house to the library tonight, I had a profound realization.

I was listening to the sounds of nature, people passing, playing games on the field to my left, and then I put on my music. It was transformative; bringing me to a new level.

Then I put on my glasses. The same glasses I put on every day in class. This time was no different.
But something was immensely different; for I then realized that my vision was "blurry" when the glasses were off, but sharpened when I put them on. How strange! How wonderful!

If I had existed in this dimension in the distant past, the Cro magnon era, my vision would not be blurry; it just would be. It would exist in its form and I would see. This is it.

This got me thinking--extrapolating. What if some "drugs" are akin to "glasses" for the mind? To allow the human mind to focus its powers into a much clearer vision of reality than what we actually believe ourselves to be living in... This could be the ultimate tool for humanity, if harnessed properly.

Drugs are a tool, just like meditation or magick.

It's all in how you use them.

You should write about this!  It's brilliant!  I don't think I've come across this idea in ANY of the psychedelic literature I've read.

Would you like an emoticon for clarification?

smmu,

Your insight is indeed profound.  Read what others have written about the psychedelics.  You'd probably enjoy Albert Hoffman's books.  DMT: The Spirit Molecule is interesting.  It is surely a fascinating subject.

of course i wasn't the first, and I won't be the last, to think such a thing.

albert hoffman too was not the first, though he did an excellent job of conveying it. Thanks for the suggestion, your sarcasm was not appreciated though.

What glasses do you need to see reality?

Or do you merely need to remove the cataract of illusory interpretation & identification from the eyes from which you already see?

You & all already are reality, all thats necessary is to remove the unreality

Psychedlics & meditation show you to see for yourself, After seeing what else do you need to see? How can you turn away from this seeing?
