Kava Kava root extracts

I just bought a bottle of kava kava root extract, it has 37.5% kavalactones.

I was wondering if it is OK for a toddler to consume just a drop, the serving size is 30 drops.

I have a friend who does this to his children all the time, he says it helps them sleep and keeps them in a positive frame of mind all the time.

I know most products like this say that they have not evaluated by the FDA and sum say they (herbs) are bad for children, is this true?

I cant imagine why they would be bad for children, has anybody heard anything about this?

Do any of you shroomerites think this is bad?

i don't think its a bad thing.
it wouldn't be bad for anybody its a root extract i don't see how it would effect children any different

If anything is bad for children its the chemicals the FDA push.
However, consulting with a professional before giving it to your kids would probably be the safest choice. 1/30th of a serving sounds like it would be okay though, depending on how old the toddler is. Do you mind me asking what your desired outcome is?

What I mean to say is ... don't feed toddlers drugs or alcohol!

Dunno about young children, but I had a neighbor who would massively dose up their hyperactive chihuahuas with Kava root to make them pass out and stop barking.

It worked, but apparently shortened their life span by about five years.

I don't think giving drugs to children is a good idea. If i saw someone doing that i would be very disturbed.

I just don't see any reason to dope kids up. Let them be themselves, they can misbehave sometimes or not go to sleep when they are told, but thats all part of being young.

i dont think it'll be a problem but i'd be careful..i was on kava kava pills for a couple months, just the regular intended dose..and after the couple months, i was better off mentally but i realized that i didnt remember anything. it wasn't like pot, where fragments are forgotten. the memory loss was FAR worse than with weed.
