question about "fully colonized" jars

ok, i've let my jars that seem to be fully colonized sit for about 5 days...

they look ready to me, but i don't know about some of them.

its been 22 days, some jars are completely white, except for a small spots that haven't changed in the past 5 days...

is it possible that some verm didn't get enough/any brf on it, so the mush is avoiding these spots?

if so, can i birth the cake w/o any problems? or does every visible part of the jar
have to be absolutely white.

i plan on cold dunking 5 jars tonight, birth tomorrow....
should i hold off until something happens, or will these spots never got colonized?

I wouldn't birth cakes that aren't fully colonized.

Give them another week or so, if they still aren't fully colonized, they may have stalled. As long as you have the holes in the lids, turn them upside down. This helps let out some of the heavy CO2 gas and could kick in that last bit of colonization. If the cakes are mostly colonized, then a lack of BRF in a small spot would not stop the mycellium from covering that spot.
