Mushrooms while taking Suboxone * 1

OK so my friend from work wants to trip on shrooms with me. He has tripped several times years ago. But since then he fell into the nasty world of Oxycontin and meth. Well he finally beat that bullshit addiction with the help of rehab and Suboxone(which is a miracle since he was doing 4 80's a day). Now he has been clean for a solid year and he wants to know if he can eat shrooms with me. I just dint know because Suboxone blocks chemical receptors and all that shit so i need some advice. Thanks ahead of time.

What do you think about Suboxone?  I know someone that had a rough time getting off of opiates and it seemed that nothing ever worked until he tried Suboxone.  Seems like a great (seemingly under the radar of most people) alternative/replacement for methadone treatment.

Very interested in some first hand opinions.

suboxone is a wonder drug. if you want to get off opiates, go with suboxone. if you went with methadone, you would simply be addicted to another opiate that is even harder to come off of. personally i wouldn't give two squirts of piss for any opiate. just dint like em. i trip and smoke. but suboxone is helping people. i tried em and i thought the buzz was terrible with 2 or 3 days of feeling like shit after words. but if you like opiates maybe thats what your into.

PS and people who take them prescribed dint seem to have those 2 days of shitty feelings, probably is a minor withdraw

me and my brother take suboxone on a regular basis and we actually just ate our fresh grown mushrooms last week and had the time of our lives, two suboxone 8mg were injested about 3/4 hours before we ate 3g of dried mushrooms and in my book everything was cool =)

i dont take em bud. I'm a carpenter and once in awhile i get a headache or one time a toothache, and my buddy j to the c always has a huge bottle of em. so when in pain, take a Tylenol next time for sure. oh and expensive? you mean you would pay for those fruity flavored puke pills??? hahah:crazy:

way well maybe those fruity puke pills aren't expensive I pay 10 bucks for 120 pills get a job and maybe they wouldn't be expensive they cost as much as ambien and many other drugs and subutex isn't fruity only suboxone and u never had a problem with opiates so u have no idea what the fuck your talking about fucking idiot there not for pain management so why the fuck you would take them is beyond me they have no value for getting high! When someone would use oxy, perks or dope to get bent

wow obviously you didn't read all the posts, maybe you should do that. and not for pain management?? heres what erowid has to say...Buprenorphine is a semi-synthetic opiate derived from thebaine. It is an analgesic (pain killer) and has gained a great deal of notoriety for its ability to interrupt severe opiate addiction, including heroin and methadone addictions. It was approved by the FDA in 2002 for use as an opiate addiction treatment......ohh and my friend JC has been on em for like a year and half or so....and umm this started as a question about whether or not to eat mushrooms while on suboxone drug dependence therapy...not as a test of who could be the biggest smartass on shroomery :blowjob:

Sjuboxone is used for exactly what you posted addiction you don't see doctors recomending suboxone when you break your back

Ummm if u look up suboxone especially on the pill identifier it will tell u that yes it is prescribed mainly for opiate addiction but it will also tell u that it does treat pain as well as opiates do hence why it's just as addicting as opiates are in my opinion. I know many folks who decided to go to suboxone to get off opiate addiction but their addiction to the suboxone are just as bad as their opiate addiction was n many ppl take it to to merely get high not to heal from opiates. Not to mention the guy said in his post he's a carpenter so he obviously has a job. & no pll who have never struggled with opiate addictions don't know how hard it. I suffered from it myself & thanks to the lord above & good friends & family I did take suboxone for less than s year n weaned myself off of those as quickly as possible. Which they never got me high n truly didn't touch my back pain so I don't know why they say they treat pain cuz they really don't in my experience but they do claim that they treat acute pain which is minor pain. But ppl who never experienced that struggle have no clue how bad it can b or the recovery from it which this guy never claimed he did just simply stated his experience n was asking if his buddy could mix them with taking mushrooms. Idk the answer to that question but I'm glad I read this feed cuz I have a friend on suboxone wanting to do shrooms wuth me n my husband soon. So thanks this feed was very helpful in that. But damn ppl don't go bashing others on here & if ur gong to read their full post before u make urself look like an idiot.

Suboxone and methadone are both fine to take if you plan on tripping. Just don't do both methadone and suboxone together :lol:

That said, they are both addictive. Very addictive.

I am on 70mg methadone per day

I took suboxone for years, used it as a crutch for a while instead of using it to get clean, anyway I tripped many times during the time I was on it, and saw no decrease in the effects of the substances I was taking then, which were mostly shrooms and acid.

Now I am no doctor, so am not saying your buddy will be the same way, but I have known plenty of people to be on subs and trip without any negative effects.
