Stomach pains when tripping (not just mushrooms) * 1

Hello

I recently tried mushrooms for the first time and about two hours into it, my stomach started to hurt, feeling like it was really tight.. i thought it was because i was hungry, but that was not it, and then i thought it must be the mushrooms taking a hard toll on my stomach and dealt with it. it was not hugely painful, but not pleasant at all but it went pretty much went away after i lay down for a while.

a week ago i did lsd for the second time (the first was a few years ago), and had the same feeling in my stomach. again i tried to eat but that did not solve the problem.
any one have any idea what I can do to stop this? It's not agonizing, but it is quite uncomfortable. To describe it, would be that it feels like my stomach is in a tight ball or something.. I don't do these drugs very often, but I am curious as to what the problem could be. The only thing I can put it down to is nervous tension of some kind.. But both trips were enjoyable and pleasant? Curiously, with the acid trip a few years ago, I did not experience anything like this.

If anyone has any suggestions as to herbs I could take (I'd rather not take marijuana, as I prefer my trips to be clearheaded), or any other ideas I would appreciate it.

It might just be all in your head man, You may have possibly just gotten nervous also...When you do any type of drug, wether or not youve trie it before we all get the jitters...So next time chill out a little beforehand, Eat a couple of hours before you take your next journey...I hope this helps yah out a little... :grin:

maybe you just needed to puke,
since it happened on acid also this tells me it`s psychological
sometimes if i have aquired some negative energy and i high dose i will feel sick, and then when i puke it`s wonderful, like an exorcisim of negative energy.
it`s like all that negative karma we aquire in are daily lives gets blasted out and i`m left feeling light and free.
you could have somekind of mental block and it`s manifesting itself through tour stomach. this might not be your case ,but it`s just my experiance

Last couple times I've shroomed my legs get so tense I couldn't walk, and the next day walking is hard cause they are so torn up. I think it was due to my batch and over excessive consumption though.

i also get some body discomfort from shrooms at high doses. nothin laying down can`t cure. he said he get`s disomfort on acid also which leads me to believe it`s
psychological

you could have a minor stomach ulcer that is sensative to chemcials

I've heard the Ginger helps soothe stomach pains..well from shrooms in particular, but maybe it'll help?
Or you can just smoke so much pot or drink so much you don't feel it.

Just to freak you guys out, it's now seven years since that post. I forgot my original password so I had to make a new account, but thanks for the replies :smile:

Just to update.. it's really weird, I used to get pains on mushrooms, LSD and ecstasy. I kept doing ecstasy and now I don't get them at all anymore, but for some reason LSD and mushrooms I still do. I had to stop doing both because it was too uncomfortable. I don't think it was psychosomatic because it comes out of nowhere, I'm having a great time and suddenly, BOOM, ouchhh...

i get the same kind of thing with a high dose. usually its kind of bad just before/during ego loss/destruction. i ALWAYS have to literally sit in agony (a mixture of discomfort, pain, and anxiety) for about an hour before i break through. i always feel like i am going to vomit, and often have a few coughs or dry retches, but i hold the record of never throwing up from eating mushrooms. it is normal to feel this, it is simply a side effect from mushrooms thats much more prevelant with a high dose that kind of sucks, but passes very quickly.

Unfortunately it's not associated with high doses, it happens even on low doses. The only thing I can put it down to is that I subconsciously tense up when on psychedelics, and after an hour or two it starts to hurt. I guess there are lots of nerves near the stomach (solar plexus), so it kind of makes sense.. For me this effectively ends my psychedelic career, as it becomes too uncomfortable to enjoy, but that's OK, there's enough to keep me happy on this plane of reality :smile:
