False Evidence Appearing Real (F.E.A.R)

Have you ever wondered
What's the purpose of this quest
Day by day we walk in circles
Endless weight lies on our chest
Once in a while we get a glimpse?
Images and Words just flying by
Trying to tell and show us Why?
But soon these glimpses drown
Under the never-ending flood of thought
Snatching away that godly crown
And leaving only thirst and drought

Refrain:
Once you learn to quiet your mind
You stumble across your inner light
The Way is the Goal you see its clear!
We've already won cuz there's nothing to Fear
For the only true instinct in this spiral is Love
Everything Else is: "False Evidence Appearing Real"

Every thought and word and deed
Finds its way through this Eternity
Where Sun and Moon do their Dance for us
It echoes back with amazing speed
And its Creator has no clue what hit him
You reap what you sow a wise man once said
Yet for many of us his words are dead

Refrain

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate
Hate leads to suffering, and soon we'll
Suffer till we're dead
Death is the thing that we fear the most
Although It's something that doesn't really exist
We fight against an illusion made up by ourselves
Well try using your soul instead of your fist

the songs music is much like "nice to meet you" from incubus... i just love it... it's one of the most powerful songs we have... sadly we haven't recorded it yet... but if you want you can check out our little page right here

Lozt Soul,

Nicely written! As difficult as it is to put a mushroom experience
into words, you have seemingly done so effortlessly. Thank you
for posting your work ~ a nice read today.

As a sidenote, I wish I had access to your local fungi and environment.
I lived in Vaihingen for 3 years and miss the area tremendously. I could
imagine what it would be like to dose and be on an all day excursion
in the local forests!

Keep on writing and playing. This world is in dire need of creativity and
healing.

Peace to Everyone,

Peacful Nomad
