would you take sambo lessons fro this guy?(martial art)
    #8729925 -

I'm looking at what martial arts i want to go to and I'm considering sambo or Brazilian ju-jitsu along with muay thai.

I came across this guy, Vadim Kolganov, British Gold Medallist, World Bronze Sambo Medallist.
I also seen him in the human weapon sambo episode on the history channel.

seems like a good guy to learn from.

only thing is, i don't think sambo would be a good thing for me, I'm only 5"4ish.

"Noone picks me anymore.."

But really, if you think itl suit you, go for it. Don't see how we can recommend you a particular instructor.

Looks like a coach with pretty damn good credentials to me.  The best way is to go see for yourself, go take a look around the gym and at a few of his top students to see what these guys are learning.

I've never learned Sambo individually but one of my coaches does compete internationally in both Judo and Sambo and got a bronze in both in Turkey last year.  Unfortunately he's the coach that comes in the least, because I've been focusing on boxing and wrestling and I could use a change of pace.

Don't worry about any reason you think you might not be cut out for Sambo.  Martial arts is all about working with what you got, and your only limitations are the ones you put on yourself.
