Hey moe, I'll shit in a bag and mail it to you fourth class. By the time it gets there it will likely have composted!

Papa, you could stretch it if you want to. Why worry? You're so close now, why risk another step? Not too mention that compost benefits highly from the nutrition of a heavy spawn rate. Stretching it now would lower the overall nutritional value by diluting the spawn. Four gallons of compost should yield heavily. I wouldn't be greedy.

Not to mention four gallons will fruit for a long time. Keeping you in stock while you start anew.

PM me with any cultivation questions.

I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

Why does it seem that the mycelium has trouble colonizing the bottom of my gallon containers. It really looks like it needs to be cased but the bottoms are about thirty percent colonized. Should I wait or go ahead and case?

Go ahead and case. You could mix the substrate to try to get the rest to colonize, but there isn't much points since compost is not too likely to get contaminated. I've had compost finish colonizing after it was cased.

Yeah I went ahead and cased. About three days ago I sprinkled two of the containers with about a half inch of compost to see if the mycelium was still growing and it now has beatiful white rhizomorphs growing up through it.

I do love the way compost seems boost rhizomorphic growth. I have never seen mycelium as agressive as that grown on compost. It actually looked like it was trying to climb into the air.
