Domestic abuse - OK. Marijuana - BAD

One of the companies that I work with at my job will accept certain past criminal charges from their employees and their potential employees.  They will accept a domestic abuse charge (aka BEATING YOUR WIFE OR GIRLFRIEND) but they will not accept ANY past drug charges, no matter which drug it was and no matter when it happened in your life. 

So you can punch your wife in the face over and over and be employed there.  If you're 40 years old and you were caught with 1 marijuana seed when you were 18, you can not work there.

Sad isn't it? The really funny thing is, is that they feel sorry for the man who beats the shit out of his wife and kids. They say ohhh hes under too much pressure.

Then I treat my girl, and family fucking really well and give them a say so in their own lives. Yet, I get looked down on for smoking pot/and others, and everyone who knows me says he is one of the best family guys I know.

I'll smoke until the day I die. If they arrest me I'll find a way to smuggle it in. And guess what? I'll be one of the best prisoners in the place. How fucking sick is this world.

I work for a staffing agency.  They're a client.  I feel like an asshole when I can't send a good candidate there because they got caught with pot as a young adult.  Apparently, they make no exceptions when it comes to drug charges.  They will absolutely not take any past drug convictions.  And we do background checks.

I bring it up by simply asking...Why shouldn't it be legal? They always I mean ALWAYS say well because of the crime...I simply say well the fucking market for it would be gone if it were legal for the most part. Then the battle continues. Then I just start throwing all of my shit out there. Just find a place to throw it in. I throw it out there at random times now...Just driving down the road I'll say something.

Oh so the radio person says the economy sucks? Well if cannabis were legal we could save money on locking people up and on law enforcement AND we could tax it to ease the cost of other things.

Gas is high? Well fuck we can make gas out of it.

staffing agents are full of the ghey.

I hope you arent wasting time posting ads and then getting people in, checking them on computer skills and then doing nothing.

got one temp job with a staffing agency, the rest where ridiculous, had one call me, look real interested, never heard anything, very recently.

I don't deal with them anymore.

Also, don't waste time on lame clients like that. Like I said, they will be the first to bitch, and the last to be helped.

You have more important clients. You may point it out to them, or just ignore them, fuck clients like that. Seriously, a petty offense charge like pot possession is worse than beating your wife? Lame.

A lot of companies who hire staffing agencies arent worth a damn, and not worth a damn to work for. It isn't like its too hard to hire people.

hate getting dicked around at job interviews.

No, this is either the first or second most important client.  Their business allowed us to branch out to our current location.  We have to abide by their rules no matter what. 

It is hard to hire people at a staffing agency.  Every person that you take a chance on carries your professional reputation with them.  If they don't look good, I don't look good.  That's a lot of pressure.  I have to trust these people and these people can't be trusted.

It's all about actually turning them into criminals.  Pot smokers are for the most part peaceful people, and this friendly demeanor must not be allowed to be represented as the status quo.

Their brutal practices of denying good jobs to smokers create conditions such that the lies and propaganda about cannabis eventually become truth. 
Start treating them like criminals, and don't be surprised, if before long, they begin to act like criminals.

On the NORML website they have a letter written out that you can send to your place of employment requesting them to implement a reasonable drug policy. You can send it as a random person or something.

I would state to them that you don't want to hire people for them with any background of domestic abuse, no matter what, say its in there best interest.

Having a drug policy is one thing, even if its lame shit like you said, but you probably arent going to hire anyone for them that has domestic abuse issues or other things that are more important, so advise them that you wont hire those people either. make it seem like its in their best interest, because really, a lot of places care little about less than a felony anything, if they care so much about "drugs" then they need to care more about other crimes too, you know, important ones.
