they say that when a cake is infected you can take a nail (i used a screwdriver) heat it up and carterize the spot. have a question though. ive had jars break by setting them into hot water too fast soo can a torch bust the jars?

A torch may, that's why a lighter works best, just put a lighter on the infected area on the outside of the glass for 15-20 seconds at a time, let cool, and do it about 3 times.

Yeah it was posted, no one ever really proved the method for sure. Atleast i didnt see anyone, but whatever.
