Poetry-recommend me some!

I would consider myself a fairly regular reader.  My reading time is pretty much 50% fiction and 50% non-fiction.  My fiction time is always spent in the world of the novel. 

I've been content with this for a while.  But about 6 months ago, I began reading a lot more than normal, actually getting through books pretty quickly and not taking any breaks between books.  It's been great-my reading speed has increased and I feel mentally exercised. 

Ok, on to the main point.  My reading regime has really sparked my interests in new areas of literature.  Poetry is one of them.

Poetry is something I never really enjoyed.  Even the majority of music I listen to is instrumental.  I just don't or never really did connected to it.  But now I want to give it another chance.  I want to experience whatever it is that has kept poetry alive in our everyday lives.

Recommend me some good introductory poets I can pick up from the book store.  I'm not sure what I would enjoy since I've never been a big poetry reader...but just keep in mind these poets/poems you will be introducing me and they must accessible to a mind like my own (one who has read little poetry in the past.)  Thanks guys!
