For those that have gotten massages...

or a massage of equal "quality"

I'm not talking 'bout sex, or
trying to find an underground
white women slavery ring via
a massage parlor.

A professional masseuse

My question is: Was the money worth it?
How good was the trip? Did it leave an afterglow,
and if it did, for how long?

Could one theoretically become addicted
to the kneading of the flesh?

I'd like opinions, so that my own unsure one
can be swayed.

I can see how you'd get used to it, I've never paid for one but I love them. My friend's dad in Germany has a company and he had a masseuse come over every week to help relieve stress and I got in on the action when I was there. And no, she wasn't a hooker, she was old.

I guess it leaves an afterglow in that you feel loose and relaxed for a while afterwards.

That costs extra, but if you have the cash the midget jig is worth it.

I'd say give it a shot, just make sure you wind up in a legitimate massage parlor not a "24hr Spa".

i dunno the one massage i got was pretty damn good. especially when they start massaging your legs. it's uber relaxing, uber self indulgent, but that's what spa's are for. you're treated like a king, sometimes they give you tea and stuff after. i wouldn't say that you would run the risk of getting addicted...lol... i mean shit people get addicted to plastic surgery. You'll walk out feeling refreshed and clean. the next day i felt pretty damn good too. I'm usre you'll WANT to go back, and you will. but the cost is enough to keep you from really getting hooked.

i was considering this awhile back also.. everyone i talked to recommended i go to a personal masseuse.

what i mean is like; someone who does it out of their home.  if you can find a good one they are better than alot of "professional" ones and are cheaper!  (from what people told me)

They are pretty amazing, tension alleviates and you feel pretty damn good. I tend to get them when available, you can find schools and have them done cheaply like 30 a pop also.

and yes its addicting

for me lasts a few hours of loosness feels great (used to ride a racebike up so it felt real good)

Got a traditional style Thai massage while in Thailand; that was an amazing experience. Seriously.

Afterwards the feeling was somewhat like an mdma body glow... Had my back cracked, twisted snapped and my body was fucked around like a rubix cube.

I used to date a physical trainer.  The massages he gave me were awesome!  But he used to get on to me because I couldn't help but moan when he got the right spots.  Made me too self-conscious to go to a professional.

I couldn't help the moan but he told me I wasn't supposed to. 

Too bad the sex wasn't as good as the massages.  :shrug:
