Vermiculite? Where?

Ok, I have had no problems finding everything for the project... except vermiculite. Everything else, like jars and perlite I found right away without asking anyone who worked at wal-mart. Now vermiculite, I have so far tried Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Home Depot, and a Garden Center, and no one carries it, if they knew what it was. Anyone know where else I can try? Is it out of season or something? Any specific product names I should look for? Or would something else besides vermiculite work like peat moss or something? Thanks! :confused:

that's kinda strange that garden centre ppl didn't know what you were talking about.
it's not very surprising that walmart doesn't have it 'cause it's a seasonal item.
if you were in canada we'd suggest going to white rose which is like a garden supply store.

also try ACE hardware. thats where i got mine when i couldnt find it anyplace else

in addition to lowes, home depot, try OSH. all these stores are basicly the same store just like kmart and walmart. go to the gardening section, you will know you are there when you see bags of fertilizer, gardening tools, potting soil-->it should be next to this product

not even 2 minutes away from me there is a garden store that has huge ass bags of the shit so big you strap em to the top of your car and bags of perilite the same size
