As far as contamination resistance that is really dependent on the strains you got there. B+ is fairly well resistant to contams as well as EQ - they are both great beginner strains.

Now for substrate contam resistance this is really dependent on your sterilization factors.

1) What you used to sterilize your substrate - Boil in pot OR Pressure Cooker
2) What sort of substrate you used? - BRF/Verm - Rye Berrys - Millet
(Rye B. and Millet require PCing)

With all this in mind I suggest you read the FAQ and look under Substrate you can find viable and useful info under there, and good luck on your efforts of cultivation do not give up everyone hits sucess and yes its almost definit to hit it your 1st time if you are careful - patient - sterile.

PC some Rye berry jars then.

Rye/Millet colonizes much quicker then brf

i love the stuff

I think you should be fine with 10 psi it calls for 15 psi

i was thinking of doing the rye.
is is more contam resistant than brf/verm as long as it is sterilized correctly?

Less contam resistantent because it requires the use of a PC. But if you PC it right and sterilize it right you should be fine - also make sure your water and rye berry amounts are correct that can fuck things up alot

by contam resistant, i mean if a contam was introduced would it have a better chance of overtaking the mycellium on the brf or the rye berries?

Contams are usually moulds, and they will take over any subsrate, because what you are doing when cultivating, is setting up ideal conditions for the fungus to grow, therefore ideal conditions for the moulds to grow.

Good luck
