What is the MOST contam resistant substrate?
    #753317 - 07/17/02 12:25 PM (15 years, 9 months ago)

I'm thinking composted cow manure. I found a local dealer that sells it for $35 per cubic yard.

What do you think? The house I'm living in now is contam hell. The mold and mildew is so bad it fucks with my sinuses. I had 20 cakes with no contams at birth, but they started dying off before I could even get 1 dry Oz. out of them (simple minds tek).

What's the best method for growing in these conditions?

I'm pretty sure you want UNcomposted cow manure. Moe says he buys his at Walmart for 98cents a bag.

I should probably add that it is from a local farm, not commercial bags.

A sterilized substrate is the most contam resistant.
