Late summer planting...

Is it too late for my friend's cat to start his mary jane outdoors? He'll move it in during the winter. I would ask this at Overgrow, but I don't wanna register to ask this one question.

Way too late to start outdoors. No more outdoor growing 'till April. It's flourescent time for your friends cat and his nip.

i disagree, if you plan on moving it indoors. where i am at you still cant even put them outside cause its too damn hot still. the biggest thing will be getting enough light each day and holding off the plant from flowering. i plan on putting my "lilacs" outside in about another month or so cause its still like a 100F here eveyday. you are in tx so you may still be able to do it. i would start them inside under floros. then when they are somewhat established you can move them outside ( temps permitting) and then either finish inside or out depending on yeild you want.

At this time of year, the plant will get less and less light every day, which will force it into flowering right away unless you bring it in every evening for a few more hours under floros. You might as well just grow indoors and avoid the hastle of moving plants and stressing them.
