Yet another Damprid question

Lets say I put some damp rid in an airtight jar, then lay down some seran wrap on top of the damp rid, and lay my mushrooms down on that seran wrap. Would the seran wrap cause any problems in drying or would it block the process somehow? The reason im using seran wrap is because i think it wont absorb the moisture like a napkin or paper towel would.

I use a coffee can with about 2 inches of damp rid and a screen on top of that, then one more screen to put the mushrooms on.
Window screen is pretty cheap and works well.

Yeah I would go get one but theres a terrible storm out right now and I dont feel like getting into a crash. Can you see any problems with using seran wrap though?

as long as its not tight so that the damprid can actually absorb the moisture, you should be ok.
But I would not use this method forever.
