Don't Leave Books On Your Windowsill
    #8499580 -

During a windy storm.

Because then they get wet, and you can't read wet books.

--------------------
After one comes, through contact with it's administrators, no longer to cherish greatly the law as a remedy in abuses, then the bottle becomes a sovereign means of direct action.  If you cannot throw it at least you can always drink out of it.  - Ernest Hemingway

If it is life that you feel you are missing I can tell you where to find it.  In the law courts, in business, in government.  There is nothing occurring in the streets. Nothing but a dumbshow composed of the helpless and the impotent.    -Cormac MacCarthy

He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.  - Aeschylus

Which is only one of many reasons why Humans > Fish.

You sure you got your inequality right?
Fish don't leave books on windowsills during a windy storm.

Ah. But how I love storms. Light rain stinks, but I LOVE it when the rain is just coming down like rocks and theres lightning and thunder every other second. Wait, what about books? I got my only copy of Monster (book) wet :frown:. But thankfully, it's salvagable, just let them dry and hopefully the ink won't have smeared nor the paper ripped.

I just soaked the hell out of "The Desert Fathers : Sayings of the Early Christian Monks", which is a book of the collected wisdom of the Coptic monks in Egypt.

It's totally fucked.  Swollen to like, 4 times it's normal size and the ink is bled everywhere.

I used to drive a convertible, and let my mom drive it one time.
She parked it in our driveway and left the top down.
The sprinklers turned on, and a bunch of water got in my car.
Not only did the car get soaked, including the steering wheel which gets completely nasty when wet (gets all on your hands) but my CD collection was soaked and a whole bunch of CDs and booklets were ruined.

I owe my mom $25 right now... I think I'll bring that up and try and get out of it lol
