nice. I especially like the color variation reishi has as it grows. I found that nothing helped stop a cold or other simmilar infection like reshi.. I either just brake off a piece and chew it (yes it has a bitter taste, but get over it) or boil up some tea with it (after grinding), and a few hours later, no more sniffles, swelling throat, etc.

Very impressive!
Was this a standard chips/sawdust type substrate?
I just grew out a culture on agar, and am about to make some grain spawn with it,so I've had Reishi on my mind...

I had to come back and look at these again! A About what volume of substrate is in these pics? Do you think qt. jars will support decent fruitings?
Just found a recipe at mush-world for a sawdust/bran substrate that I think I'll try, since I have a big back of fuel pellets, and no chips...

They taste like chicken! Naw...more like dry cardboard.... not really something to be eaten fresh. Grind em up and take in capsule form or nibble a little to feel less-cancerous.

Very nice pics...I just found my first reishi out hunting yesterday...um actually like 6 or so varying sizes...So am I supposed to get the antler along with the mushroom? I just broke them off...and of course left a few in the trees too. So is the antler the most potent part? I looked for info on the net no go there...sorry I did not read earlier posts...if there are some...ok maybe I should just go back to the hunting forum....sorry...but if anyone is kind eneugh to share the info I would happily accept....these are such cool mushrooms, no idea I had them growing wild around me until last week very cool.
Cheers

Cheers Myko...and great grow job, wow they look pretty cool. The wild ones I found basicly had the ?ntler left in the tree, would be hard to dig them out. maybe I need to find ones where the antler comes out of the tree a bit...dunno I am new to the reishi, will certainly find more...just need knowledge as to which parts are most potent medicinally.
Cheers
