If you have your heart set on a kit ( and I don't recommend them because of the expense) I have used the one from Sjamaan and they work great. I bought three on special for about $110 US I got about 450 wet grams.

Even if the kit doesn't get past customs, the worst that could happen is that you get a letter saying not to do it again.

Not true. In the USA, it's common for them to either let it go through and then bust you, or to send you a notice that it's at the post office and then bust you when you go pick it up.
