You should remind him that the above "kit" is illegal to import into the USA. There is a chance that it will get past customs, but he should know there is a risk.

Yes, I agree with this. But if a Hydrapod is out of you budget limits, I recommend you research pre-sterilized bags which you inject spores in with a syringe. This is what my ferret told me...

im from UK as well and i would say cuz the UK laws are liberal compared to US you should grow using the PF tek. If you follow all the procedures THOROUGHLY then it should work. The kits give a much lower yeild and much less value.

If I'm not mistaken, it would still be illegal to import live cultures of P. cubensis packaged in a kit for cultivation into the UK.

The laws in the UK are very sketchy surrounding mushrooms. According to this doc. http://www.shroomery.org/generalinfo.php?doc=5 shroom cultivation is not illegal until fruiting is reached. There have been no arrests or trials in the UK for cultivation (as far as I know). The law states, mushrooms in their natural state (ie. picked in a field) are not illegal. Preperation of psilocybin is illegal, but mushrooms picked, and dried 'in the sun' are not illegal.

Yes, but I would presume this would only apply to mushrooms picked from nature. One could harldy argue in a court of law that a mushroom growkit does not constitue intent to manufacture psilocybin.

It was a simple error, most of the people on this site are from the USA. I just wanted it known that it can be somewhat risky importing things of that nature.
