Before I start, I would just like to assess that I have recently gotten into lucid dreams(the movie WAKING LIFE also had alot to do with this incentive) and dreaming in general since december. I was learning alot about it in class, and how to do it, and my professor is like one of the worlds top dream experts, he's told me hes had easily a thousand lucid dreams, and I was inspired to begin trying to lucid dream. He's told me tactics of how to lucid dream, such as asking yourself around 10 times a day "Am I dreaming? ( by doing that you have a better chance of asking yourself that question while actually in a dream) and what are some good things to do once you realize you are lucid dreaming and to experiment with things etc etc etc. I write down my dreams everytime I remember them in the morning, and before I go to sleep I try to put myself in a dream mindset. I try to remember and re-experience past dreams I've had and I tell myself "I will awaken rested and refreshed and I will remember my dreams, i will lucid dream, i will lucid dream....."...also, my teacher has told me that some good things to do in lucid ddreams is ask questions to people such as 'who am I?' or "Whats' my highest?(refering to potential or ability or limit) or "Are you real or are you my projection?. Also try to fly and walk through walls, and you can fuck any sexy girl you want lol blah blah blah anyway
SO..........I was sitting at my computer and my 3 of my friends were next to me. I must've been showing them something, but anyway, I whipped out my phone and started texting someone. I then realized that my phone, wasen't my phone, it was like a completely different phone and it was transparent, I could see the electronics in it and everything. I quickly realized and said to myself 'whoa i'm dreaming!' so I turned to my friend J and asked him "Who am I?" and he said "you are blank with a passion for life soemthing something something"..i can't remember wat else he said. I said ok and then turned to my friend E and asked him "What's my highest?" and he goes "You have no limits, life is what you make it"...!!!!!....I gt excited and thought to myself "O I remember my proessor talking about walking through walls!" so I got out of my chair and walked to the nearest wall, stuck my hands out and tryed to walk through...to be shut down. I thought to myself dang, I'll try again. so I walked to the right about a yard, stuck my hands out and tryed to walk through it again, to find the same result.
So then I'm thinking to myself 'Man, wtf is going on how come I can't walk through this wall!' then I'm thinking to myself wait am I really dreaming though? My friends must thinking I'm strait up trippin trying to walk through this wall right now"....So then i turn to my right to look at my door of my house, and notice it is not there! theres just wall there! and I tell myself wait, I really am dreaming! and the thought of me dreaming just floods my mind and BAM I wake up.....
I asked my professor how come I couldn't walk through my wall after telling him my story, and he doesn't really know, but hes excited for me that I'm making progress. He gave me some advice thought, that I should try to plan out what I'm going to do next time I slip into a lucid dream, what i will try, what i will say and actually visualize mself walking through walls and flying. he walso said to try walking through a window next time.....but yeah thats basically it just thought i would share!
I love dreaming now I look foward to it everynight I go to sleep and when I wake up to realize I can't remember any of my dreams I actually get irritated now! I remember in highschool I could easily go weeks without remembering a dream and not even notice or give a damn.
Are any of you into lucid dreams? Practice doing it or volitionally have lucid dreams ocasionally? I have a dream interpretation book and try to interpret them whenever I remember specific items or events or objects that were significant in a dream. I find dreams to be utterly amazing and mysterious and have profund insights to our unconscious mind if we wish to delve into it....
some people say, in fact, "Not interpreting your dreams is like not reading a letter to yourself, from your inner self"....
