What humidity for pinning and fruiting in a terr?
    #831592 -

Soon I will have casings in my terranium in different stages of development. Some will be (pre)pinning and others will be fruiting. I read in the mushroom cultivator that 95-100 is best for pinning and 85-92 is good for fruiting. So what would be the optimal humidity to keep my terr at for both fruiting and pinning shroomies?

I just fan 3 or four times a day. My substrate and casing provides enough moisture throughout the first flush. Generally its best to have it in the mid to high 80s.

Well keep it at 90% rH or so. That is a little dry for the pins so just make sure you mist occasionally.

You dont really have to go word for word, if the rH is 1%-5% off nothing horrible will happen

Alright thanks alot. So better too dry then too moist it seems and supplement the pins with misting. Anyone disagree?
