at last my first morel finds

after a long wait, they found me. are they greys? they look grey to me but perhaps there are some yellows? they were found in a cottonwood forest with predominant blackberry underbrush. also kept spotting many mushrooms that looked very similar to a half free morel, but i didn't pick any because i was afraid they might be stinkhorns, although not stinky at all. false morels are easy to id but false half free morels are tricky

edit: i found out they were Verpa bohemica another "falf free morel"

Yummy.

Greys are the same species as yellows, Morchella esculenta, right?

season? now and possibly for the next 2 or 3 weeks will be the most of them.
