My first morel find
    #624920 -

Here?s a few pics of my first morel find.
I went hunting for a few hours last weekend in a state park near where I live
and I was lucky enough to take this small one-man supper home with me.

They were found growing near decaying trees under a little vegetation.
I think I'll have them with a nice steak and a baked potato...

and

sorry about the quality of the pics...

Great find MAN!!
I plan to do some moral hunting here pretty soon, Missouri is spossed to be some prime moral area from what I read out of Missouri Conservation. They are also very very good from what I hear.

what kinda morels are those??? i have just started getting into gathering morels (dont have my digi at school with me). I have been finding the "early morels" the brainy cap thing is not connected to the stem at the bottom. Your morels look like they could be the same specie although its hard to tell. Anyway good work and happy eatens! I eat mine in steak tacos, on hamburgers, or whatever, they are universally tasty.
