Eastern Washington morels

Went out for a look today, not really expecting to find anything and found about 3 dozen Morchella esculenta in a favorite spot of mine . I still don't have a digital camera so I can't show pics . Most were pretty small, but there was plenty for a morel fry tonight . Anyway, they're definitely just starting to pop up in Washington now for any other morel hunters out there from here....

Scan them man! Anything! We want pictures!
Nah, for real though, nice find. Glad to see others intersted in something other than just psychoactives. Morels are definately my favorite edible mushroom that I've tried so far. I'm going to go hunting for more patches as soon as I find time. If I'm successful in my hunts, you can be sure that you'll see more pictures than you want to

Right on dude, I'm heading back to seattle tomorrow, gonna try to take off a little early and maybe hit the park at eburg for a little bit and see if anything is up there yet. I'll let ya know... I've picked a few more down here since I made this post and more are coming up in one of my spots, but not the others :\ . I've never picked them west of the cascades, but I wouldn't be surprised if they grew there....
